Hi, I'm Joey.

I live outside Boulder with my wife and our dog Nora.

I write to think. Most of what ends up here is stuff I wish I'd known earlier, or hadn't had to find the hard way. Recommendations for things that have improved my life. Whatever I'm currently excited about.

My day job is co-owner at BugSplat, a small bootstrapped software company that builds crash reporting tools for developers. I mostly work the business side, but small means wearing a lot of hats. I write about that here occasionally.

My newsletter goes out Fridays. Mostly to people who were at my wedding. Five things worth sharing, plus whatever I wrote that week. Part excuse to stay connected with friends, part commitment to write more, part reason to keep making things. If a few strangers end up along for the ride, even better.
